Chapter 5 Note 7 (page 46): The book states that alternative norm generation methods are out of scope, but in Chapter 2 (page 9) the book notes that the methods by which both the proposition and norm are generated are irrelevant to proposition evaluation. Chapter 5 Note 7 should state that the analysis of decision basis evaluation employing alternative norm structures is out of scope. For example, a decision basis norm reflecting a state of certainty would be such an alternative norm structure. There are a two ways that such a norm could be generated:
- The DM acquires implementation experience for all of its alternatives, rather than for just the alternative chosen.
- For the alternatives not chosen, the norm uses the corresponding subclaims from the decision basis.
